Little bit of this and a little bit of that...

Sorry again,
It's been awhile since my last post. I have been very busy with my kids.
I did receive some good news this week: My son is going to be having small  tubes put inside his ears to help drain fluid out of his ear and prevent ear infections. I am so excited for him but nervous as well because I hope this works for him.
I went to the beach last week with my children. We got to encouter sea turtles in person even though we can't touch it, but it definetly made my kid's day. They were way too excited. If anyone is ever in the Ko'Olina area make sure to check out their beaches....definetly worth the trip.
That is all that I have to say, for now enjoy this picture.
Salud,
K

The return of Me...

Hello to all the readers,
I am so sorry that I have not been writing since December 2011. I was busy with the Holidays, Packing for my trip, New Years, and spending quality time with my family.
First off I would like to tell all of my readers Happy New Year, or like they say here in Hawaii Hau’oli Makahiki Hou. Second, I did have a nice trip to Atlanta, GA to visit my close relatives. The weather was cold, other times it was raining, but we got to see some flurries and great friends and family. My family and I got an opportunity to do a professional photo shoot during our trip and it was a lot of fun. Pictures of that will come as soon as I can get them posted on the blog. My trip back to the islands was longer than expected because I had one child not feeling well and another wired out of her mind junping on my lap and constantly opening the window shade of the airplane. I can't say that it wasn't fun but it's all part of the package of becoming a mother...Good Times.
Finally, we bought a second dog around the time that I was going to go on my trip and my husband got an opportunity to stay at home with both pets while I was gone and he went to work during the week. He said that dealing with two pets, working, and cleaning the house was a lot of work, and that if he had respect for me to be a mom and doing everything that has to be done in the house plus deal with children, is a big job. I am glad that he understands what myself and other moms like me do to get things done around the house everyday :-)
Our day today is going to be eventful. We are excited about the Superbowl this afternoon (or evening for some of you), my husband's family is usually divided when these two teams come together but overall is all in good fun. I am hoping that it is a fun and exciting game just like the one for last year. Last time the NY Giants and the Patriots went to the Superbowl, I was pregnant with my first child about to pop at any moment.
School is going great. It is getting harder for every block of classes that I take but I can't say that the classes are easy because they are not. There are moments where an assignment is very hard and I do not receive the grade that I want but that is what happens in school. I am excited about how this class is going to turn out. I have learned a lot not only from my textbooks, but from all of my peers that are in this class as well earning the same degree that I am.
The husband and I have been going out a lot and spending a lot of time together. I enjoy doing this with him because it's not only fun for the both of us, but it is also therapeudic for myself.
Here is a picture from our last date that we had. Until the next entry...K

Kamila is walking

So my daughter is a year old already and no walking yet. She does move around holding on to things here and there but she is always walking during the main part of her day. After daddy finished working on the car she just felt like walking around the house with daddy when he let go of her hands. As soon as he did not she couldn't stop herself from walking and laughing at the same time. She really loves her daddy. I can't wait to see her on the go all by herself with nothing to grab on even if that means that she is going to get into more trouble than she does now.

Enjoy the video!

Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1

Last night I went to see the film Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. Even though I went with my one year old daughter I did get to see the entire movie considering that she would not stop making sounds here and there. I loved the wedding scene and it was great to watch it. I am glad that the movie went straight to it instead of other movies that would drag and take forever to what you want to see. The wedding reception was hilarious, the entire audience laughed at all of those scenes. The special effects  of the wolf pack speaking to each other as animals was awesome, I thought that it was very cool to understand what the pack was talking about. I wish that the movie would have been rated R considering some of the details that were omitted or never put on the movie for the sake of the young fan crowds but then again I understand why they did that and it was fine. The scenes of Bella's delivery could have been different in my opinion but the message did come across as far as how she felt and what was going on. Overall the movie ended on a good place. I am excited to watch the second part next but sad at the same time because that would be the end of the Twilight Saga series. If you have not seen this movie yet you definitely should, and if you are not a Twilight fan I suggest you get to it immediately. Even though it is a vampire movie, it does have a great love story. Also, if you go see the film please wait after the first set of credits go through. There is another scene after that some of the audience missed because they walked out of the theater right away.
Until next time...Salud!

Puss In Boots Movie Review

Hello Readers...
I am sorry that I have been away for awhile, I have family in town and I have been busy taking the family around the island and relaxing on their vacation. Last week I saw the movie Puss In Boots.
The movie was great overall. I enjoyed the very beginnig of the movie and when Puss finds out that he can smell Humpty Dumpy was definetly funny because my family was the only one who laughed at the line that he used. This movie was great for kids and I enjoyed how they incorporated jack in the bean stalk story and the Humpty Dumpty character.  So there you have it this is definetly a must see not just for the children but for the adults as well. My son enjoyed it and so did we. I am buying this film as soon as it hits the shelves on Blu-Ray and DVD.
